Michiel

Michiel started his journey with the works of Frauke Leenhouwers.

Frauke Leenhouwers
Frauke Leenhouwers debuted in October 2024 with the graphic novel "Na jou" ('After You', published by Oogachtend) which she co-wrote with her twin sister Elke Leenhouwers.

The wordless 'After You' tells the story of loss, the intangible experience of heartache after a break up. In delicate black-and-white pencil drawings, it zooms in on the details of a life after the other has left and shows in an intricate, cinematic way how the sorrow slowly starts to fade away to make way for new beginnings.

Especially for Reveal Art Fair, Frauke will also show for the first time a series of paintings that she recently completed. In acrylic on canvas they show colorful snapshots of the streets of Brussels, where only the leftover food — remnants of the patisserie culture, as typical of Brussels as the Art Nouveau details that the paintings also depict — serves as a sign of human presence.
